Upward Basketball
Upward Basketball and Cheerleading is a sports ministry specifically designed for children in kindergarten through 6th grades that promotes character and self-esteem. Upward believes every child is a winner. This is reinforced by giving equal playing time, highlighting strengths and encouraging each child throughout the season.
GENERAL INFORMATION
The 2011 season begins in December 2010 and runs through March 2011.

Information for the 2010-2011 Season:
Practices begin the week of December 6th, 2010
First Games are Saturday, January 15th, 2011
One Hour Practices are once a week for 1st - 6th Grades. Kindergarten practices on Saturday mornings for 1/2 hour before their game.
Evaluations: each player is required to attend one of the following evaluations:
Tuesday, October 19th 6 - 8 pm
Thursday, October 21st 6 - 8 pm
Saturday, October 23rd 9 am - 12 pm
Evaluations take approximately 15 minutes
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - BE A PART OF THIS IMPORTANT MINISTRY
If you love basketball or cheerleading and have a heart for kids, this is the ministry for you. Upward is a community outreach whose mission is to introduce children to Jesus Christ by creating opportunities to serve through sports.
Volunteer Opportunities include:

Concession/Facility Crew
Prayer Partners
Devotion Captain
End of Season Celebration Volunteers
Photographer & Videographer
