RIVER ADVENTURE WEEKEND CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT

How safe will my child be while I'm in the Worship Service?
Very safe. At the root of our safety is the unbendable rule that no one is alone with a child. Children are supervised by volunteers who have been screened and classrooms are monitored for group size and hazards. Yearly we practice a fire drill evacuation for all ages (birth through 5th grade).
What’s the earliest I can drop off my child?
Children’s classes open 15 minutes prior to each adult worship service. Sunday’s first service begins at 9 am so classes open at 8:45 am. Sunday’s second service begins at 10:45 am so classes open at 10:30 am.
Where do I drop off, check in and pick up my child(ren)?
Infants and children ages birth through pre-kindergarten up to age-5 are checked in and picked up at their individual classrooms in the Early Childhood Center (rear/south end of the Worship Center; enter from either the east or west side of the building through the glass doors). Check-in closes 30 minutes after the service starts. (So cutoff for check-in on Sunday is at 9:30 am and 11:15 am). There is a Family Room available where parents can watch the service on a TV monitor while staying with their infants/children in the family room after the deadline cut-off or if a child is fussy and needs to be with mom or dad.
Elementary age children (Kindergarten through 5th grade) are checked in at the gymnasium (east end of the campus). Check-in closes 30 minutes after the service begins. (So cutoff on Sunday is at 9:30 am and 11:15 am). Children are invited to attend the worship service with their parents if they miss the check-in deadline. Children are picked up at check-out locations as follows (directional signs are displayed at pickup and dropoff areas):
Kindergarten & first graders are picked up outside the Sunrise Room (east side of Worship Center facing Chapel building) at the north door.
2nd graders are picked up outside the Sunrise Room (east side of Worship Center facing Chapel building) at the south door.
3rd, 4th & 5th graders are picked up from the Sunset Room entrance just inside the west side of the Worship Center through the southmost glass doors (facing St. Andrews Blvd.)
How do I check my child(ren) into a classroom?
Birth through Pre-K 5: Children ages birth through pre-k-5 are checked in at their individual classroom doors in the Early Childhood Center (rear/south end of the Worship Center) using a sign-in sheet. Families who are registered with us have their child’s name and parent’s pictures preprinted on our Sign-In Sheet; visitors sign in on a separate Sign-In Sheet. At pickup, parent pictures or signatures are matched to ensure each child goes home with the right adult. When available, pagers are given out at the Infants & Toddlers rooms. Should we need to reach you while you are in the Worship Center, we will flash your child's last name and the letter of their first name on the large screens in the Worship Center.
Kindergarten through 5th grade: Elementary age children use scannable badges as identification. Parents who have registered with us are issued these scannable badges for their elementary age children. They have two purposes: (1) to alert us to any allergies we need to be aware of, and to provide pictures of the child’s parents to ensure that children are picked up by the right adult. Children wearing badges enter the program quickly as their badges are scanned for attendance. Children without badges are signed in on a Sign-In Sheet by their parents, who must sign them out again at pick-up.
What if I’m not going to be in the Worship Center?
All parents must stay on the SRC campus for their child to be entered into River Adventure (i.e., Sunday School). But because some classes meet during services in another building, we simply ask those parents to indicate on the Sign-In Sheet what function or building they are going to be in during the worship service.
