HELPS Ministry

Our HELPS Ministry is dedicated to loving on people by making and delivering meals to our church family as well as to friends and neighbors in our surrounding community. Volunteers prepare and deliver meals to those needing temporary help after surgery, an illness, the birth of a baby, or a death in the family.

Sew Together

Come together with other women who love to sew and create items to help the needy in our local community.  We generally meet on the third Friday of the month from 7:00 - 9:00pm in Chapel Classroom 2.


Knitting Group

Use your knitting skills to create warm blankets, sweaters and other items for orphans and needy children in other countries. We meet off campus on the second Friday of the month at 10am. For more information, contact Margarete McDonnell at (207) 229-0973.


Hospital/Shut-in Visitation Team

Our team visits the sick and elderly of our SRC community to show them Jesus' love and encouragement.

Volunteers visit on a regular basis.


Nursing Home Visitation Team

Everyone needs to be encouraged! Our team brings singing, dancing, arts and crafts, and encouragament to the elderly in local nursing homes.

Prison Ministry

Matthew 25:31-46 tells us that Christians show love and mercy to their brothers and sisters who are in the midst of suffering.  The Prison Ministry provides an opportunity for male and female volunteers to visit local prisons to hand out Bibles to inmates, mentor
inmates and attend weekly Spanish-speaking worship services. 

Volunteers visit throughout the week - various days and times available. 


Prayer Team

Our prayer teams receives requests from our SRC family and intercedes for our communities, nation and world. Join us in becoming a prayer warrior.
