The River Run 5K and Kids Run brings both runners and walkers together to raise support for local child welfare organizations.

Runners and walkers start and finish at Spanish River Church.
The course starts on Saint Andrews Blvd. just outside the church parking lot. From the parking lot, it turns left onto Saint Andrews Blvd and then takes another left at Potomac Rd. At the intersection of Potomac Rd and NW 24th Ave, the course turns around and backtracks all the way to SRC.
The race uses the PowerT Disposable Timing Tag, which is located on each runner's race bib.
The Kids Run is a FREE event for kids 12 and younger. It is located on campus and starts at 8:30am. Kids receive a Certificate of Participation.
No registration is necessary.
Spanish River Church has hosted the River Run for the past seven years to raise support for various local foster care organizations and families in need.
This year, proceeds from River Run will go to Place of Hope At The Leighan And David Rinker Campus in Boca Raton, 4KIDS of South Florida and City House Delray.
Place of Hope At The Leighan And David Rinker Campus is a unique faith-based, state-licensed child welfare organization providing family-style foster care (emergency and long-term); family outreach and intervention; maternity care; safety for victims of domestic minor sex trafficking; transitional housing and support services; adoption and foster care recruitment and support; hope and healing opportunities for children and families who have been traumatized by abuse and neglect throughout our region.
4KIDS of South Florida is a non-profit organization committed to providing a home for every child in crisis. Through a partnership of committed individuals, churches, corporations, and government agencies, 4KIDS has brought hope to over 18,000 children in 17 years.
City House Delray serves single mothers with children under five, who want a chance to provide a better future for their children. It offers Christ-centered living arrangement and allows the mother to experience real change through a two year program that offers daily mentoring, accountability, support, and encouragement.
Over the past seven years, River Run has raised over $76,345.
The River Run 5k was started 2009. Since it began, over 3,275 people have participated, and a this year we hope to see over 600 people running.
Each year the event has grown in popularity and raised funds. It's a great family event with something for everyone!
