The River Run 5K and Kids Run brings both runners and walkers together to raise support for local child welfare organizations.

- Top 3 Male/Female Overall Runners
- Top 3 Male/Females in each Age Group (5 year increments) starting at 9 and under to 80+
- Youngest Participant
- Oldest Participant
Walker - Not Timed - $25
Walkers will not timed but will still receive a t-shirt and goody bag with their registration. (First 500 event participants)
Teams (10 or more) - Timed - $25
Put together a TEAM of 10 or more people and receive a discounted registration! (Note: If your team does not reach the 10 person minimum, each person will be charged the different between the Team Member Fee and the Individual Fee.)
When registering, the Team Captain, sets up the team and the others can join the team when registering.
Teams have the an opportunity to win an award for:
- Largest Team
- Fastest Team
- Most Festive Costume
Runners and walkers start and finish at Spanish River Church.
The course begins on Saint Andrews Blvd. just outside the church parking lot. From the parking lot, it turns left onto Saint Andrews Blvd and then takes another left at Potomac Rd. At the intersection of Potomac Rd and NW 24th Ave, the course turns around and backtracks all the way to SRC.
The race uses the PowerT Disposable Timing Tag, which is located on each runner's race bib.
The Kids Run is a FREE event for kids 12 and younger. It is located on campus and starts at 8:30am. Kids receive a Certificate of Participation.
No registration is necessary.
Spanish River Church has hosted The River Run 5k since 2009 and has raised support for various local foster care organizations and families in need.
This year, proceeds from The River Run 5K will go to Place of Hope At The Leighan And David Rinker Campus in Boca Raton, 4KIDS of South Florida and City House Delray.
Place of Hope At The Leighan And David Rinker Campus is a unique faith-based, state-licensed child welfare organization providing family-style foster care (emergency and long-term); family outreach and intervention; maternity care; safety for victims of domestic minor sex trafficking; transitional housing and support services; adoption and foster care recruitment and support; hope and healing opportunities for children and families who have been traumatized by abuse and neglect throughout our region.
4KIDS of South Florida is a non-profit organization committed to providing a home for every child in crisis. Through a partnership of committed individuals, churches, corporations, and government agencies, 4KIDS has brought hope to over 18,000 children in 17 years.
City House Delray serves single mothers with children under five, who want a chance to provide a better future for their children. It offers Christ-centered living arrangement and allows the mother to experience real change through a two year program that offers daily mentoring, accountability, support, and encouragement.
