The S.R.C. Project

We Love Our Campus.

Introducing the S.R.C. Project: For Safety, Requirements, and Communicating Beauty

At Spanish River Church, thousands of people hear the Gospel taught, are connected to Christ through ministry initiatives happening all over campus, and church planters from around the world gather to be equipped for the mission ahead. This happens because of your steadfast generosity.

Who are S.R.C. Project Contributors?

It's a group of passionate individuals like yourself, who are committed to giving above and beyond their regular tithe for an entire year. By committing to give every month for one year, you'll help us cover the costs of essential ministry needs that were unable to be included in our operations budget.

S.R.C. Project = Safety, Requirements, and Communicating Beauty

Why weren’t these items included in the operations budget?

Here are the reasons.

  • Statistically, churches experience a decrease in giving trends during the instability that comes with a senior pastor search. For this reason, SRC’s pastor search from 2019 through 2021 caused a dip in our reserves.

  • In the uncertainty of 2020, operation costs were shifted and giving amounts fluctuated as nobody knew what to expect.

  • The East Campus property has been a tremendous ministry blessing. After voting to use our reserves to purchase our neighboring property, less funds have been saved for current needs.

The S.R.C. Project Highlights

The S.R.C. Project Update

  • Security Window Film

This security film is necessary for all Worship Center and children’s ministry rooms for extra security against outside threats.

    Safety

  • Parking Lot Resurfacing

The East Campus parking lot, acquired in 2021, has never been resurfaced since its construction several decades ago. This leads not only to reduced curb appeal, but safety concerns.

    Safety and Communicating Beauty

  • Parking Lot Lighting Fixtures

The current bulbs we are using in the parking lot are not only out of production, but require an immense amount of energy. We are switching to LEDs to provide better lighting, safety, and cost efficiency.

    Safety and Communicating Beauty

  • Irrigation Well

A new irrigation well is proposed to replace the well we have. The new well will give irrigation to the Spanish River Christian School and western Spanish River Church grounds, while the existing well will be specifically for the SRCS athletic field for proper watering without restrictions from the rest of the campus.

    Requirements

  • Dimming Racks

These electrical dimming racks prevent lights from flickering during service in the Worship Center and the East Chapel. Our current rack in the Worship Center is 28 years old and doesn't dim light correctly. Let’s illuminate worship together and leave flickering lights behind.

    Safety and Communicating Beauty

  • Grounds Upgrades

We have not had the opportunity to upgrade the grounds, which are outdated, thinning, and dying. They are in need of a refresh as our first impression to our Boca Raton neighbors.

    Communicating Beauty

  • Elevator Modernization

This elevator serves as the most secure way for people to enter the SRC Offices for counseling, ministry, and partnership. Soon, the Connect Center elevator will be out of compliance with new Palm Beach County Code. Without required modernization, it will become unusable.

    Requirements

  • Two Side Projectors

The two side projectors have been discontinued for over ten years and are no longer supported. Parts are no longer being made, and a bulb could go out any Sunday.

  • Wireless Intercom - Two Channels

"Houston, we've had a problem." Our video team has tripled in size in the last year-praise God! However, we're struggling to fit everyone in on a regular basis. This purchase will allow us to have two extra camera positions on the stage.

How Can I Get Involved?

1. Begin with Prayer: Please prayerfully consider your calling to become an S.R.C. Project Contributor for the next year.

2. Set Up Automated Giving: Simplify your giving process by setting up automated monthly contributions. This ensures regular support without the hassle of remembering to give manually each month.

3. Spread the Word: Share your decision with your friends, family, and fellow church members. Encourage them to become an SRC Fund Contributor, magnifying our impact together.

Together, we'll accomplish great things and transform lives with the love of Christ. Thank you for your partnership in ministry.
