Janelle Rodriguez - Elementary Coordinator
"We had a family that had only planned on visiting us for one Sunday. They were so taken with the warmth of SRC Kids, along with the quality of Biblical education given, that they decided to make Spanish River their home. I have seen that happen numerous times. Parents will always choose the place where they feel that their children are loved, appreciated, and cared for." -Tatiana Toledo, SRC Kids Director
Impact of SRC Kids: 550+ children discipled every week
180 volunteers are actively loving and leading this next generation
At RiverTots, 194 parents and toddlers are shown the love of Christ
Awana is celebrating double-enrollment, and loves that 5 of our Awana leaders were once kids enrolled in Awana
SRC Kids
SRC Middle and High
The love of Jesus is changing the lives of Gen Z, ages 13-28. 70% of practicing Gen Z Christians, according to the Barna Group, strongly agree that in-person relationships are more valuable than digital relationships. We are seeing the impact of our weekly gatherings for SRC Middle and High!
Impact of SRC Students: up to 55 students at every Campus Night
Not only do we host Student LifeGroups each week, but students are starting their own Bible Studies too!
We had one student who has been a part of SRC for years text SRC High Coordinator Jimmy to let him know he gave his life to Christ. He said, "It was because of just hearing about Jesus over and over.”
Christ-centered conversations are happening every week about salvation, mental health, identity, and being boldly faithful at school.
Volunteer and Student Testimonies from SRC Middle
“I have been able to meet a lot more people since I have gone to SRC Middle, made lifelong friends, and have had more opportunities to serve. God has revealed to me how I can help serve through the production team and given me the opportunity to work with church planting with my mom and meet a lot of new people.”
— Finn, Student
“One of my favorite things about serving at SRC Middle is that I get to lead the 7th-grade girls’ small group. During small groups, I get a glimpse of what's going on in the girls' lives, and I get to share applicable Scripture with them. I also really enjoy serving the food after the game. Maybe it's because I am from the South, and we like to feed people. Most of all, I am so thankful that my husband and I both serve in SRC Middle together. It's given us an opportunity to get to know many other leaders and staff. We began serving out of a need for volunteers, but we have stayed because of the friendships we have made and the joy we have from leading the next generation to Christ.”
— Kelsey, Volunteer
“I have enjoyed being a part of the student leadership team- the community during once-a-month lunches. SRC Middle has helped me through the teaching of God's Word to grow closer to Him, and I like getting there early to Campus Nights because the leaders take the time to get to know me, and ask about my week.”
— Hudson, Student
Adult Discipleship
New initiatives, from our SRC-written “Handheld Evangelism” Gospel-sharing curriculum and course to new Couples LifeGroups, are helping to bring the Gospel to new homes and hearts.
In our LifeGroups Ministries, we celebrate 35 Women’s Groups, 17 Men’s Groups, 1 Couples Group with 140+ new members, and a New Leader Toolkit launched.
“Handheld Evangelism” is a six-week curriculum and workbook created to help believers share the Gospel. With a workbook and visuals, it equips believers with gospel intelligence, emotional intelligence, and cultural intelligence.
