Connecting Hand and Heart

Serve the City at Spanish River Church is our once-per-month invitation to live out Christ’s love in practical ways!

Through opportunities to volunteer and partner with trusted nonprofits and SRC ministries, and in leadership roles, Serve the City connects hand and heart so that every member and guest can understand why we serve (and do so in a way that fits their schedule and calling, whether you can serve once, monthly, or throughout the year). If you would like to serve or want to help lead in planning future events on the Serve the City Planning Team, there is a place for you to serve, lead, and grow!

About Us

What began as a single-day serving event has grown to become a year-round culture of service with monthly events as we bring the transforming life and love of Jesus to our neighbors!

Serve the City, the local outreach movement of Spanish River Church, partners with trusted Community Partners to connect our multi-generational church family to tangible opportunities that help alleviate poverty, uplift children and families, honor life, empower adults, and advance the Gospel locally.

Service Focus Areas

Five areas of service focus: Alleviating Poverty, Uplifting Children & Youth, Protecting & Honoring Life, Empowering Adults, and Advancing the Gospel

    Meeting basic needs while restoring dignity and stability.

    4KIDS of South Florida, Inc.

    4KIDS is a Christ-centered nonprofit serving children and families in crisis through foster care, adoption support, family preservation, and wraparound care. Their mission is to bring hope, homes, and healing to vulnerable children while equipping families and communities to care for them.

    Changing Lives of Boca Raton

    Changing Lives is dedicated to enriching and transforming the lives of homeless women and men in our area, by providing basic needs, resources, health and wellness referrals, mentorship, employment placement and more. Our goal is to help transition their lives from one of hopelessness to hopefulness and, most importantly, independent and self-sustaining living.

    Diaper Bank

    Diaper Bank supports low-income families and babies with diaper need throughout South Florida. We collect, store and distribute free diapers and essentials to other nonprofits, and directly to families. Our goal is to ensure that every baby in South Florida has enough diapers to remain clean, dry and healthy.

    RUF is a campus ministry that welcomes students from any and all walks of life.     Scouts BSA Troop at Spanish River Church, led by Deacon Steve Swann, is a youth leadership and service program that meets on SRC’s campus and regularly supports church ministries through service projects, campus improvement work, and community outreach. Through character formation, teamwork, and hands-on service, Scouts develop responsibility, leadership, and a heart for serving others while contributing meaningfully to the life of Spanish River Church.

    Volen Center

    Volen Center is a Delray Beach nonprofit serving seniors and vulnerable adults through meal programs, adult day care, caregiver support, transportation assistance, and wellness/community programs—helping reduce isolation and strengthen stability.
